MES Rangashale, a distinguished unit of the MES group of institutions, stands as a testament to the visionary efforts of its secretary, Prof. BR. Sheshadri Iyengar, and founder member Smt. Vimala Rangachar. Established in the academic year 2003-2004, MES Rangashale initially gained recognition through its affiliation with the Public Education Department. The institution embarked on its journey with the introduction of a two-year diploma program in Drama Art, under the auspices of the Karnataka Secondary Education Board.

Over the years, MES Rangashale has evolved and grown, fostering the artistic talents of its students. From 2008 to 2020, the institute continued to offer its diploma in Drama Art, affiliated with Hampi University. Currently, MES Rangashale proudly holds affiliation with the prestigious Karnataka State Dr. Gangubhai Hangal Music and Performing Arts University in Mysore. Celebrating two decades of dedicated service, MES Rangashale is led by the experienced and capable Dr. K.P Ashwathanarayana, serving as the Convener and Director of the institute. Under his guidance, the institution has become a hub for nurturing artistic excellence and promoting cultural heritage.
